Wizkid, Burna Boy, Rema Get Nominated For BET Awards Alongside Drake, Chris Brown, Future & More Nigeria’s Wizkid, Burna Boy and Rema have been nominated for the 2020 BET Awards in different categories.

Black Entertainment Television(BET) announced on Monday the nominations for the 2020 Awards ceremony, and Nigeria’s Wizkid, Burna Boy and Rema were nominated in different categories.

Burna Boy, who won the Best International Act category at the 2019 BET Awards, was nominated again this year for the Best International Act Award category alongside South African singer Sho Madjozi, Stormzy, Dave from the UK, Ninho, and S.Pri Noir from France.

In the fan-voted category of Best New International Act is Rema, Zimbabwe’s Sha Sha, Celeste, Young T, and Bugsey from the UK and France’s Hatik and Stacy. This would be Rema’s first nomination for the award.

Wizkid was also nominated for the HER award for his feature in the “Brown Skin Girl” with Beyonce. They were nominated alongside Alicia KeysCiara, Layton Greene, Lizzo, and Rhapsody.

Drake leads the way with six nominations while Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch are next on five nominations each. Here are the full nominations for the awards;

The 2020 BET Awards will mark ceremony’s 20th anniversary and BET’s 40th anniversary, and the event will air live on June 28 across ViacomCBS networks, including CBS for the first time due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
